Our Story — The Skyline Journey
Skyline Home Care was founded by two dedicated directors both of whom began their careers as renal, gynaecological and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurses. With a strong nursing background, we witnessed first hand the challenges faced by patients navigating the healthcare system.
While working in the hospital, we observed a troubling pattern: many patients were admitted for care but experienced significant delays in returning home due to difficulties securing adequate home support. Even when care was arranged, these patients often returned to the hospital soon after with preventable or recurring conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTIs), falls, dehydration, malnutrition, and pressure sores.
Driven by a shared passion for improving patient outcomes and keeping people safe and well in the comfort of their own homes, we decided to create Skyline Home Care and a clear vision —to provide reliable, compassionate, and high-quality home care that bridges the gap between hospital discharge and independent living, reducing readmissions and enhancing quality of life.

With our proactive approach, we focus on keeping clients healthy at home and preventing avoidable hospital visits. This is done through robust staff training in recognising changes in health needs, raising concerns through the management app to alert office staff who immediately contact family and make appropriate referrals to the GP, 111, 999, Community nurses, Dieticians, SALT, TVNs, OTs PTs ensuring prompt interventions.

Our aim is to promote independence and dignity by providing quality person-centred care in the safety and comfort of one’s home.
Our personalised home care service gives you the choice to remain independent in your own home without compromising on the quality of care.
We also have considerable experience in assisting Service Users with more complex care needs, in which our services often forms part of wider programme of medical care being delivered by other healthcare professionals.
Our home help services are available 365 days a year. We carry out visits to our Service Users from as little as thirty minutes up to several hours at a time, subject to the requirements of the individual.
