Wake-in and Sleep-in care

When your loved one needs overnight assistance, Skyline Home Care offers two thoughtful solutions: Wake-In and Sleep-In care. Each option provides safety, peace of mind, and the right level of support customized to your family’s needs.

Sleep-In Care

Gentle overnight presence for peace of mind

Sleep-in care is ideal for individuals who don’t need frequent help during the night but benefit from having a trained caregiver nearby just in case. This is suited for Service Users who sleep through the night but need help before bed, during the night occasionally, or in the morning.  A caregiver sleeps on-site (in a private room) and is available to assist with occasional needs such as:

Help with toileting
Medication reminders
Reassurance or companionship
Support in case of nighttime anxiety or confusion

Wake-In Care

Wake-in care is for those who need frequent or continuous attention overnight. This is suited for Service Users with complex needs who require regular or unpredictable care throughout the night.  A caregiver remains awake and attentive for the entire shift, ready to assist at any time. This is often essential for:

Fall risk or mobility issues
Advanced dementia or wandering
Medical conditions requiring monitoring
Overnight incontinence care
